The 4th National Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Power Conference

To be honest, I initially attended the seminar because it's required for our Hospitality Management class. This seminar was organized by 4th year Event Management class HRM students of my school so majority of the 2nd year HRM students were required to attend. If I was given a choice, I wouldn't have attended...and I would have greatly regretted it!

I can honestly say that I learned a lot from this seminar! The speakers were inspiring. Their experiences say a lot about the whole hospitality industry. As the night went on, I fell more and more in love about what I'm studying. I felt even more certain on why I'm doing what I'm doing. I felt more determined to finish this course. And I felt like I can do anything if I take their advice and be more passionate about what I'm doing.

The most memorable and inspiring speaker, for me, is Mr. Bobby Horrigan of Acacia Hotel. I find his speech very informative and very instructive on how to survive in the hospitality industry (or any job for that matter). I learned a lot from him. He was so enthusiastic about his job and it was obvious that he couldn't wait to share it with us. He was fun. He didn't have any boring moment. I wish I could meet him personally as I continue to pursue this course and as I will continue to pursue the career. Thank you, Mr. Horrigan!
I think our seniors did a great job in this event! A lot of universities from different parts of the Philippines had participated. They invited well-known and well-experienced speakers that would definitely make the students learn more. I hope we can make something as successful as this when we take up our Event Management class!
